Fic Indexes (or if we're going to be all grammatical and shit, Fic Indices) ;D

marilla_pm67 asked last week about posting a link to her fix index and that sounded like a really fab idea to us, your adoring mods.

So! We would like to invite all authors to participate in this little exercise. Over on IJ, there's even a comm (which we'd forgotten about), devoted to this topic. Please check it out to see some existing examples of author indexes: qaf_indexes.

Acceptable formats are indices like those in the link above, or links to your your website, your page on an archive, or a Very Tidy memories page.

The index pages will be tagged as author entries. We think this will be a really useful tool for finding more fics by an author whose work you enjoy. At least we hope it will be! This is a first pass at this, so we may refine things as we go along.

Please submit your links in the comments and we'll get them tagged as soon as possible. Thanks!

Your fav B/J long fic!

Originally posted by burnt_orchid93 at Your fav B/J long fic!

I'm not exactly looking for a specifical fic, but I'm looking for good long fics, completed.

I like angst, but not major character death, please no OOC, and no Micheal/Brian! Just that! Post your favorite long fic! Even PDF's okay!

Edit: Found a lot of amazing fics, thank you all

Recs: recently written IC fics

Hey guys!

I'm a big fan of good old QaF classics and I haven't read any QaF fics in a long time but maybe I'm missing out on something. So I was wondering if you could rec me some really good in-character stories written in the last 2 years?
Genre/wordcount doesn't matter :)
Thank you in advance!

UPDATE: There are some suggestions in the comments. I wouldn't mind some more, though.
P.S. I've also found a similar request right here with lots of great recs.
P.P.S. I'd like to share my own recommendation which is The Love Song of Brian A. Kinney by ipoiledi. I've never read anything written by this author before, but was pleasantly surprised.

This is so cool! The Martian is on this list! Other authors include George R.R. Martian, Ray Bradbury, Ursula Le Guin, H.G. Wells, J.K. Rowling, C.J. Cherryh, J.R.R. Toilkien, Stephen King. I mean, the mind boggles at all the giants of sci-fi and fantasy. I'm sure Andy Weir was amazed to find his book included in the list!

Looking for long, scrupulously & painstakingly in-character, angsty, realistic, post 5-13 fics

Originally posted by queerasfray at Looking for long, scrupulously & painstakingly in-character, angsty, realistic, post 5-13 fics
(Confession alert!) I'm having trouble finding the "right" post-series fic. I've started several that seemed quite promising at first but then later went off the reservation character-wise. It's a bummer to start a multi-chaptered fic only to have it wander off into the tangled wilderness of OoC land. I'm not particularly a fan of fluff (especially Fluffy!Brian) or nothing but sex-sex-sex 24/7. I'm looking for something gritty and real and angsty, and the longer, the better. I want something that is going to totally engross me and satisfy my bottomless need for The Feels.

Thanks ahead of time!

ETA: Wow! Thank you all for the response! Some great suggestions in the comments!
